If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, then why doesn't it look like a duck?

I know you are not a duck, but if your branding materials don't tell the world who you are and what you do, your prospective clients are going to be confused. You can be walking the walk and talking the talk, but your marketing message may be getting lost because your identity design doesn't match what you are trying to tell the world.

If your collateral materials don't fit the image you want to portray to your target market, you are missing out on one of the most powerful advantages to attracting your perfect clients. If your logo and tag line don't provoke curiousity in the minds of the people you are trying to reach, then they are of no use as marketing materials, are they? And if your business card is completely forgettable, why even have one?

Recently, I attended a large international conference and came home with over fifty business cards from intelligent, capable, successful business people with whom I wanted to follow up. Yet as I went through that pile of cards, only about ten percent of them either grabbed my attention or told the right story. The rest left me perplexed and trying to remember who had given me the card, and exactly what kind of business service or product the person offered.

A confused customer is a lost customer.

If your contacts are not following up, and your telephone is not ringing, even though you are out there marketing and networking like crazy, then you may need to look at whether your design image fits your branding message.

When your promotional materials sing out about what you do and who you are, and better yet, how you can help solve the problems of your market, you will find yourself much closer to finding and building relationships with the people you are here to serve.

You already know who is your target market, and you may already be making great contacts, but if those luscious grapes are dying on the vine, it's time for an identity design makeover. Boring, same-old, same old branding design is not going to get you the attention you deserve.

If your tag line is leaving people mystified about your business, or they are not interested in asking more about how you can solve their problems without their gaze wandering around the room, it is time to use better words  to capture attention and have them wanting to know more about you and your business.

As a professional writer, artist, and designer, I focus on showcasing your talents and your business in ways that make your clients sit up and take notice. When you need to stand out in your crowd, the old plain white card-stock, black type business cards won't do. I can help you create a new look that brings your card to the top of the pile on everyone's desks.

Contact me to help you create the images and words that will make you shine. Let's work together to uplevel your branding materials so they reflect the real you and tell the world why they need to know you better.
